Helping cross cultural workers and their families
A seminar for counselors, lay workers, and
clinicians who work to provide support for missionaries and expatriates. This workshop provides an overview of the unique issues and challenges in the lives of cross-cultural
workers traumatized by loss, tragedy, or crisis during time of missions work or foreign service. Diagnostic criteria is reviewed with emphasis on symptoms of
PTSD and related diagnoses. The role of the counselor, treatment goals, and current therapies to help victims of trauma is highlighted |
