Maintaining Ethical Integrity in a Stressful  Culture

An ethics course for  Christian licensed counselors and mental health  professionals

6 contact  hours through  the National Board of Certified Counselors

Maintaining Ethical Integrity in a  Stressful Culture is the fourth in a series of  seminars for professional counselors of the Christian faith.  Our goal is to equip the mental health  professional through an overview and self-assessment of professional ethics as  we address the responsibility to protect the client and do no harm.  As Christians, our adherence to the  Great Commandment amplifies our responsibility and offers clarity to  professional standards, acceptable practice, and clinical  intervention.

Today  therapists are practicing in an increasingly stressful culture, where both  national and global concerns impact our work with patients.  In our seminar, we will address the  following questions:

How do we maintain standards of  ethical integrity in all aspects of our personal and professional lives?  What are the dangers and ethical issues  we encounter that might limit our ability to adequately keep ourselves  whole?
