The two adult job: when the whole village doesnt raise a child
Children do not arrive with a parent's manual or a job description. Two adults are required for effective parenting. Each adult must be able to perform multiple tasks on short
notice, establish long range plans with flexible options, maintain standards while adjusting performance requirements to individual capabilities, consistently interpret
rules and policy to specific and non-conforming situations, and provide entertaining events that safely challenge the intellect and stimulate
adventure. All these tasks are added to their "real" jobs and social responsibilities. This workshop will identify a simplifying task for parents and celebrate the gifts of parenting. |
