The Spirit of spiritual recovery from addiction is the presence of God in the context of Scripture. An
exploration of acknowledged programs for recovery will be addressed from the Biblical account of Kings (Nathan's healing from leprosy), Samuel (Absolom's protection and defense of Tamar's integrity),
Proverbs (a definition of drunkenness), Acts (the indwelling of the Spirit),and several references from Paul's letters regarding "slave to wine" and similar references. This workshop will encourage
personal sharing, model pastoral response, and identify local church ministry opportunities. A two hour overview format is available as a separate presentation or as a evening introduction for an all
day workPresented by Denis T. Noonan, III, D.Min. |
